Jardín Botánico-Historico de Málaga

I didn’t have many plans for the following day. Even though I had walked for about 12-13 km every day, I didn’t feel exhausted at all, and I think it’s because of the warm weather and how happy I was. I haven’t felt so happy lately, so travelling in Andalucia made a huge change for me.

I had booked for some wellness at Hammam Al Andalus de Málaga, but before that, I didn’t know what to do, so I therefore took an early train to Málaga, to visit the Botanical Garden. I took an uber from the train station to the Botanical Garden. The price for a standard ticket is 5.20, but there’s free entrance on sundays.

The garden itself is huge, and although people recommend to set about 3 hours to see the garden, I only had 1 hour and was in a hurry, as I needed to get some lunch before going to the Hammam, so yes. Could’ve planned it better, but it’s okay 😉

The garden has a history of more than 150 years, and has the historical garden of 3,5 hectares, which is the oldest part of the garden. Here, you find more than 3000 species, waterfalls, greenhouses and historical buildings. Later modern gardens were installed, and the garden in total is about 55 hectares, and has more than 50.000 plants. It was a pity that I didn’t have enough time to see the garden, I only saw a small part 🙁

So next time I visit Málaga, I’ll spend more time here 😉
