A Day of  Segway Adventures, Shopping, and Spicy Eats 💨🙋🏻‍♀️

The next day was mainly dedicated to riding around on a Segway. But first, I had a delicious breakfast at Panaria, close to Torres de Serranos, just opposite Sabor a España. I had some really delicious veggie empanadas and the most amazing caramel macchiato. Yum!

Segways are something I’ve become really crazy about after my dear sister T introduced me to them when we were in Madrid last year. I remember being nervous about trying it, but I ended up being completely blown away by how much fun it is to ride a Segway. Since then, it has become a habit for me to go on a Segway tour whenever I travel, wherever possible. It’s like riding a Segway has become addictive. Not only because it’s crazy fun, but it’s also a different way to explore a city. Maybe I should invest in my own Segway?

Anyway, there are some guides who offer Segway tours in Valencia, so I booked a 1-hour tour with Segway Trip Valencia, which is right next to Torres de Serranos. I don’t remember the guide’s name, but he’s definitely a really nice and cool guy from Colombia who works in Valencia. We had some nice chats, and not least, an awesome Segway ride! He also recommended some good places to get the best paellas in and around Valencia 😉

After the Segway tour, the rest of the day was dedicated to shopping – lots of shopping! Bye-bye money! 😂 I had a quick, light lunch – the popular patatas bravas alongside a chill gazpacho – it never disappoints!

Then it was off to El Corte Inglés, which I became a fan of after my brother introduced me to it in Málaga. The advantage here is that as a tourist, you can get a tourist card that gives you access to discounts on every purchase. Cool, right? I ended up coming here a few times while I was in Valencia because you can always find something to buy 😜 – especially when you come from Denmark, where clothes have become synonymous with boring colours. In Southern Europe, you can get much nicer, more appealing clothes that fit your colorful personality. 😂😅

I also spent time exploring many of the super cozy streets. I just love Spanish cities and their laid-back, down-to-earth attitude!

After a long day with some long walks, I needed another spicy dining experience in the form of Thai food – again! This time it was at Thailicious, on C/ de l’Almirall Cadarso, where I had a fantastic veggie massaman, and for dessert, a Flan de Coco. God, that was so good! A nice way to wind down after a long day 😬

Then I relaxed in the hotel with a cup of hot chamomile tea to help me sleep. Life is good!
