Tamil new year [2015]

Hi lovelies!

Last week was sooo amazing- had one week of holiday, and of course, this has to be celebrated with some fun with my lovely friend L, as she is in Aarhus too! Yes, so the days before my holidays, we decided to go visiting some cafés and enjoy our spare time with yummy food and lovely drinks (don’t worry, we’re both non-alcoholics 😛 )

We went to Bruun’s Galleri, enjoying some fresh drinks. First at Joe & the Juice the Thursday before, where L gotta try the “Power Shake” for the first time, and I gotta try their Joe’s AMG with apple, ginger and mint. OMG, I love this one, as I love minty drinks very much 😉

Next day, when we’re heading to our hometowns (she – Odense, me – Herning), we decided to try Haaber’s Café, and L got an ice cream smoothie and I got an elderflower drink, that was perfect for the very hot weather 😉

I was very excited to celebrate my birthday with my parents, as it was the Tamil new year too. My family usually helps the temple for the new year preps, and so did we this time. I enjoy stitching, so I got the opportunity to stitch the sarees for all the goddesses in the temple. My mum picked up a pink saree (what a coincidence, my dress had pink too!), so I started stitching 5 small pleeted sarees.

Then, the day before new year, my parents and I went to the temple, as we wanted to clean up the temple and to make some garlands. As some others were coming with 4-5 garlands too, I decided to make only one for the Panchamuga Vinayagar, and my mum made an aaram for the God too.

I was quite proud of the result – after ages making a full garland.

I feel so blessed to both have stitched sarees and making the garland 😀

This always makes me feel, that God’s very close to me, and I’ve got everyone’s blessings. Truly blessed <3
