As we step into a new year, I can’t help but look back at 2024 with gratitude and a full heart. It has been a year of self-growth, knowledge, unforgettable experiences, and dreams turning into reality.
A Challenging Yet Hopeful Start
The year began with an unexpected challenge – I had a minor accident, where I was hit by a car during a heavy snowstorm. Thankfully, despite the extreme weather conditions, I was lucky it wasn’t serious. After a week of rest, I was able to get back to work. That snowstorm was both beautiful and brutal – a magical sight but definitely not fun when you have to clear all the snow alone 🤣😅
All pain were gone with N’s company, and followed by Baby S’s first birthday 🥹🥰
A Year of Passion and Knowledge
Despite the rocky start, I pushed forward, deepening my audiological research work and expanding my expertise in a field I am deeply passionate about. One of the biggest milestones was receiving a new opportunity to join the cochlear implant team – a dream I have held since my university days. Getting to work in this field feels surreal, and I am beyond excited for this new chapter 😊
Another passion I embraced this year was my Tamil cultural, historical, and language-focused work and research. I took the step to share my knowledge with the world through social media, and it has been fulfilling to connect with others who appreciate and celebrate Tamil heritage as much as I do 😌
This year also reintroduced me to art, something I had almost forgotten. I was reminded of how meditative and calming it can be – and also a beautiful way to express myself and find inner peace 🎨🎭🖼️
Adventures, Laughter, and Cozy Moments
And in April, I received gifts from my best colleague M and my dearest friend A – a thoughtful reminder of the kindness and love I am surrounded by.
This year was also filled with incredible travel experiences. I had the absolute best time in Valencia and Greece, soaking in the beauty, culture, and sunshine. The trip to Greece was even more special because I got to share it with my amazing friend A, and we also had a blast attending a Trevor Noah comedy show together – laughing until our stomachs hurt!
Another highlight was witnessing the Bros comedy show with my bestie – an evening filled with pure joy and laughter.
And not to mention – a series of good and funfilled films, exactly as I want them to be 😂
Speaking of friendships, T, my sister from another mother, was a huge part of my year, as always. N started her nail art journey, and I had the chance to support her by getting my nails done – a special moment of encouragement for her. Even better, I introduced N to my dearest sis T, and we had a cozy creativity day together with a delicious brunch. I also had many cozy and heartfelt moments with G, a friend I have known for over a decade – our bond continues to grow stronger.
And not to mention my lovely brother – I love how our bonding is. Looking forward for more sibling-times 😄
I also got to spend more time with my lovely “nieces”, and also to participate in one of the niece’s wedding reception. Just love to celebrate and to spend time on those I love! 🥰♥️
A Year of Culinary Delights
You may know that I’m a foodie! 😋🍴
This year was also about culinary experiences – from lovely brunches and fine dining to traditional and continental food. I truly enjoyed exploring different flavors, celebrating food as a way to create memories with the people I love 😄
Dreams in the Sky and in My Heart
One of the most magical moments of 2024 was witnessing the Northern Lights several times in Denmark. I never thought I’d get to see such a breathtaking sight here, and yet, the universe surprised me. It was a dream come true, a reminder that beautiful things happen when we least expect them 😍😍
A Year of Strength and Gratitude
While the world faced many challenges, I focused on self-growth, learning, and sharing knowledge. I embraced new experiences, deepened my relationships, and celebrated both the big and small wins. I am ending this year feeling stronger, wiser, and more grateful than ever.

Here’s to another year of growth, laughter, knowledge, and dreams coming true. If 2024 taught me anything, it’s that life has so much to offer when we embrace it with open arms.
