Thirunelveli Inspired Sodhi – But skinny! ;)

Sodhi is usually eaten with idiyappam (string hoppers) in Ilangai, and I’m actually not sure about what Indians eat with sodhi, but I saw a recipe on Thirunelveli style sodhi in a cooking show with Venkatesh Bath for many years ago, and I think it’s really good with idiyappam.

Thirunelveli is a town in Tamil Nadu, and is very famous for many food items, especially the halwa, from the shop Iruttu Kadai. Other popular food items in Thirunelveli is uluthansoru and uluthankali, and of course sodhi that are particularly eaten in Thirunelveli. Also sodhi and uluthankali are very popular among the tamil people in Ilangai, and I’ve eaten a lot of it.

Vegspiration: Oven baked veggie pasta

Hiii guys 🙂

I should’ve posted this recipe for ages ago, as I made this dish for my bestie who visited me some weeks ago. I haven’t really tried out oven baked pasta – I guess I tried it once while living in Odense (and it’s been more than 2 years since I moved!). This time I therefore tried with some other ingredients, to get some “more protein”, at it turned out very well. So here we go! 😉

Gulab Jamun – An easy way to make them ;)

Gulab Jamun… Yummy! It’s just the best desert, if you ask me! 😀

I have been wondering for a long time how to make gulab jamuns without the strange ingredient called mawa, which I have not been able to find in this country. A while ago, however, I realised that you can replace mawa with regular milk powder, thanks to the writer behind veggiebelly.com. She’s also a vegetarian, like me, so it’s great that you can find really good vegetarian recipes that I’m looking for 🙂
