Vegetarian in Aarhus: Aarhus Street Food – I’m just as honest as always ;)

Aarhus Street Food, located at Ny Banegårdsgade 46, near the bus station in Aarhus, is actually a garage made into a place with several stalls selling street food from around the world. You find stalls with Danish rye bread menus, afro-carribean food, Vietnamese food, French crepes and much more. I’ve seen several vegetarian/vegan bloggers been praising this place, but I’m not very much surprised with the vegetarian/vegan selection, as there’re mostly French fries, salads and stuff like that, and a few stall offering 1 or 2 vegetarian/vegan items, which is not really good (in taste). I try to be very frank – therefore writing down this. If you are very hungry and need a cozy place, where you can sit down and eat/enjoy your food, then don’t go for the Street Food. Aarhus Street Food is a mess of a place, not cozy at all and the food is not that good compared to the price!!

Tamil – Shopping and Dining in La Chapelle, Paris

La Chapelle is a small district in Paris near Gare du Nord, that is known as Littel India, because of its many indian/tamil residents, and here you find plenty of indian and tamil shops and restaurants.

I have heard about La Chapelle in tamil adverts, and wanted to visit that place, as it’s a great place to do some “tamil” shopping if you are/live in Paris.

Framboise Restaurant de Crêpes – Paris

As mentioned in the previous post, Carrousel du Louvre is an awesome place for shopping, and indeed a very beautiful shopping mall. Despite having a food court with several restaurants, it is impossible to get a table, where you can sit and enjoy your food. We therefore didn’t eat here, and instead went outside Musée du Louvre and found a place to eat. The place around Louvre is very busy and very crowded. There are people everywhere, each restaurant is full of people, so it is a bit tough to find a place to eat, if you don’t do a research in advance. So beware!!

Vegetarian Sushi in Odense: Bluefin, Odense

When I moved to Odense in 2008 for my higher studies, it was very tough to find a place to get some vegetarian food. I struggled very much, and as I hated to cook at that time, I started to lose weight. Seriously.. But that wasn’t a serious issue 😉 I remeber, that people often said that Copenhagen and Aarhus were better places for vegetarians. As Odense has never been a town I “admire”, I didn’t do much of learning the town nor get friends there. It was mostly during the last years of my studies, that I got some tamil friends in Odense, started to go more out etc. It was also in the recent years that many restaurants started to do something for vegetarians, and vegetarian/vegan places started running. There are several places in Odense I know love to visit, and I’ll be posting some posts about those places, starting with the Bluefin today 😀

Bluefin Restaurant is a sushi restaurant located in Odense, on Klaregade 7. Last year, in 2017, it was ranked as the 3rd best sushi restaurant in Odense, right after Goma and Umashi. I haven’t tried these 2, but I like the vegetarian sushi in Bluefin very much. I have been there twice, where the staff and service during my first visit were appreciable and I got exactly what I wanted – vegetarian sushi 🍱🌱

The place is very nice. Located in the town of Odense, the restaurant is quite busy, but still pleasant. Very neat, beautifully decorated in a neat style and with a very cozy atmosphere.

New Year’s Eve 2018 – Karma Kafé, Dubai

The 6th day  and New Year’s Eve was celebrated Downtown Dubai. I did some research about several events before we left for Dubai, and I then found out that Karma Kafé offered a NYE menu, that I booked approx. 1 month before, as they had some early bird prices as well.

Karma Kafé is a Pan-Asia restaurant, placed on the 3rd floor in Souk Al Bahar, with a balcony view of Burj Khalifa and the Fountains. Also you can easily enter the ground floor balcony to have the direct view of Burj Khalifa, which was the reason to book a table here for the NYE.

Bombay Urban Cafe, Dubai

After the helicopter tour and visiting the Dubai Frame, where we went for a very big walk, my friend was so exhausted, and only wanted to take some rest – actually sleep, and I was bored AF as I wanted to go for shopping on my own. Dubai is one of the safest places in the world, you can go wherever you want on your own. As we’d already been to Dubai Mall several times, I decided to go to the Mall of the Emirates for some shopping. The Mall of the Emirates has more than 560 shops, more than 90 dining options, 5 star hotels and world’s biggest indoor ski – what an incredible view it has!

The Mall of the Emirates is located near our hotel in Al Barsha, but I went there with a taxi, as I was not sure about walking. Going there with taxi still took about 8-10 minutes.

After the shopping I went for dinner at an indian restaurant nearby our hotel – Bombay Urban Cafe.
