The day of departure dawned, signaling a bittersweet farewell to Rome’s embrace. En route to the airport, a glance out the window unveiled a breathtaking sight – the Colosseum adorned in the light. Its silhouette seemed to whisper, “Until we meet again, Abi!” 🥹

At Leonardo da Vinci-Fiumicino Airport, amidst the hum of travelers and luggage checks, a tinge of nostalgia lingered. But before boarding, a final Italian breakfast beckoned. The flavors of Italy! It was a symphony of tastes tinged with melancholy, a farewell feast to Rome’s delectable offerings.

As the plane prepared for takeoff, the heart felt a pang. Rome’s charm, the memories, the promise of a return lingered in the air. The hope to revisit, to relive the city’s enchantment, whispered in my heart.

Amidst the Colosseum’s morning glow and a parting breakfast, the farewell to Rome wasn’t just a goodbye; it was a heartfelt promise to return, to reunite with the eternal city’s beauty once more ♥️

Lunch at La Tagliatella, Plaza Mayor

After exploring the Alcazaba of Malaga and the Gibralfaro, I was so hungry – so hungry, that I actually didn’t what to eat, because I was to tired. I had walked 12 km, and couldn’t really think about searching for a quiet place to eat, so I just went for the first restaurant I could see. Some café that didn’t offer much vegetarian food – so I got a bread with some tomatoes and a coke 😅

Herefter I decided to go for the Plaza Mayor, so I took the C1 line. Went for a proper lunch at La Tagliatella.

Damn, what a great lunch it was!

Garganelli all’uovo e burrata (with tomato sauce, basil and homemade burrata). It was so authentic 😍😋

And then some shopping 😉

Spaghetti aglio e olio

This one, ladies and genltemen. This recipe is super easy, super simple, but super T A S T Y and 100% vegan.

Spaghetti is something I’ve hated since birth. I think it was one of the most annoying things to eat, until I was introduced to aglio e olio. This is the perfect way of cooking spaghetti. Really 😉
