Wellness Weekend 💆🏻‍♀️

Yesterday, I finally visited Water & Wellness in Randers for the first time, and I instantly regretted not going sooner. I’ve always had certain reservations about public swimming pools, mainly because I’m not a fan of crowded places, and Water & Wellness is no exception – it’s a popular spot, and you have to be prepared for the fact that it’s meant for the public, meaning there will be plenty of people around 😅

Despite the crowds and occasional noise; people chatting loudly even though there are signs asking for quiet – I still had a great experience. My body felt completely relaxed, and I could feel the tension melting away. Upon arrival at the wellness area, you receive a bottle of water and a small container of salt scrub, which is a nice touch 😌

Honestly, I could see myself coming here every month. You get used to things over time, after all! 😄

After my visit to Water & Wellness, I decided to check out Nagomi Sushi, which had just opened a week ago. I’ll admit, I wasn’t feeling too optimistic about it after reading numerous reviews, but I also kept in mind that they were still new and getting settled.

With mixed feelings, but a strong appetit, we headed to Nagomi Sushi. Fortunately, it turned out to be a fantastic experience! We were warmly welcomed by a friendly and attentive server, and the overall atmosphere was inviting. The restaurant itself is beautifully decorated, and the service was impressively fast 😍

Most importantly, the food was delicious! As a vegetarian, I was a bit worried about the options, but I was pleasantly surprised by the variety and quality of their vegetarian dishes. It was such a positive experience that I can confidently recommend Nagomi Sushi to others! 😍🍙🍱

All in all, it was a day of pleasant surprises – a perfect combination of relaxation and good food!

Off the Record: Trevor Noah in CPH

Two weeks ago, my friend A and I decided to take a chance and see Trevor Noah’s stand-up show in Copenhagen. We were a bit skeptical and nervous about whether the show would live up to our expectations, but we went all-in.

September ’16 – Life Lately

I know, I haven’t posted anything the past 6 months, and I actually haven’t had time for even write something for a moment. More correctly, I even didn’t think about it, and I really regret it right now.

I’ve been doing several things, and I really don’t know how the past 6 months have passed so quickly. This is sick!!

Anyway, let’s start from one point:

Let me start from this fodant rose, which is actually from ultimo march this year. I made a cake for a 25th wedding anniversary, for a couple I’ve known for many years. This family is very close to me, and I felt so blessed and honoured for making the cake for their anniversary. I made a chocolate cake, layered with simple vanilla cream. It was decorated with whte MMF and handmade roses – all on my own 🙂

April is always a very special month for me (not because of my birthday, but because of the tamil new year, and the past few years also because of this educational programme, were I work as a lecturer. I have been lecturing among with my former lecturers, and it’s always been a pleasure and a blessing, to be a part of this. I really thank the organizer for giving me this opportunity. Here, a picture of the poster they’ve made for the educational programme, and another picture, a snap of my former lecturer and supervisor teaching, just before I was going to 😀

Eating at Restaurant Stromboli in Aarhus with my bestie 🙂

From April to July (I actually don’t have any pictures from May and June – but this was the period where I finally got some time to setlle down in my new home).

My sister from another mother, and my very best colleague has birthday in July. So I made this kind of surprise gift package for her, with a handmade birthday card by myself. Will be posting a full post about this soon 🙂

Celebration at Cafe Hollywood in Aarhus! 😉

While 2/3 of my colleagues were on their holiday, I and approx. 10-11 of the rest where working. LOL 😛

Do I really need to say anything about this picture??

K A B A L I    DAAAAAA!! 😀

I looooooved this movie so much. Superstar’s new avatar was so awesome, and I wish I could watch it many more times IN THE THEATRE! 😀

Slowly moving to August.. I got a brand new harddisk for my computer, so I just changed it. Very easy btw. Now my laptop is much faster 🙂

Dinner at Restaurant Martino. Seriously, this was a lovely experience (detailed post coming soon).

My bestie and I went to the Himmelbjerget in Ry (Skanderborg). Best weekend so far, I love this place (another detailed post coming soon).

And later that they, we went for a walk in “Aarhus Ø” or Ø-Haven in Aarhus.Nice place with beautifl apartments/architecture.

Then, finally, it was my time to celebrate the summer holidays. I decided to combine my holiday with the Thiruvizha in the temple in Herning, as this is very close to and important for me. I’ve been designing my own saree for my performance during this festival. And here are some picture from that.

I got the opportunity to teach at the Syddansk Erhvervsskole in Odense. I was taking lectures in Audiological English and Audiological Technique/Acoustics for those taking the educational programme for becoming audology assistants. This was quite fun actually.

On the way to Odense – Travelling early morning..

A selfie from one of the days while participating in the “temple festival”/thiruvizha.

A picture of a picture – Photographing at the Theerthotsavam. Playing with my lovely cam.

This week returning to Aarhus, starting with work (of course) and Aarhus Festuge (week of fest). Here, my colleague Anders performing with his band, Rock The Duck. These guys know it all 😉

Eating out with my dear sister W.

And no more pictures! 😉

Have a great noon 🙂

LifeLately: Holiday & Shopping

Hello guys 😀

I know, many of us love to do some great shopping, especially when it’s cheap 😉 You know what? Recently I had a smaller holiday, so my bestie and I went for shopping in Germany. Yes!! More correctly we went to Neumünster, a town 68km North of Hamburg. Neumünster is famous for its designer outlook part, and I have heard about this place before, but didn’t think much of it. Recently my student told me about her visit, and I immediately wanted to visit this place 😉

Luckily we had time for it, so we drove to this city and did some shopping. The weather was not that much good, but so what? We still had an awesome time together 😛

Yup – we looooooooove Nike 😀

We had some pizza for dinner, at the Marché Mövenpick. Quite good, actually.

While back home 😉 [The books were bought in Odense]

Have a look, I’m totally in love with my new pinky fitness bag 😀 This is actually what I bought in Neumünster.

The books I bought at Anorld Bushck in Rosengårdcentret. They had a big sale on many books, so I did some really interesting shopping here 🙂

We also went to do some shopping in Odense, and even visited the Brandts Museum in Odense. Here we had the opportunity to enjoy a kind of sensory exhibition by Trine Boesen. Quite interesting 😉

I had a very great holiday with loads of fun and laughter – truly blessed to have the best people in my life <3

Nighty night! 😉

Etnia, show me the world :P

I’s not everyone who knows, but I’ve been wearing specs since I was 4 years old. I started wearing them daily, but by time I did care less about them, maybe because I felt looking like a nerd 😛 For 2 years ago I bought some new ones, but I never managed to them as they never fitted me and gave me headaches.

So I stopped wearing them, but initially felt very bothered about my myopia, so I ordered some new ones almost 2 weeks ago. I’ve normally bought them from Profil Optik (and was very satisfied), but last time wanted to try something else, and bought at Louis Nielsen. As I was not so happy with it, I decided to order from Profil Optik again 😉

I tried out several designs – none of them were those “Harry Potter-like”, that are “in” nowadays! I really hate the fashion right now, who wants to wear Harry Potter specs?! 😛 Okay, I tried out some designs and picked up one from Etnia by Barcelona. They have some really good designs, and their frames are so lovely. I got my glasses last Thursday and after some adjustment I was happy! Suddenly I realized how poor my eyesight is (okay, only -1,50, but still..). The one I ordered is black with a red twist, and all my colleagues etc. were like “wauw!” 😀

Here are some pictures of my new specs – Etnia by Barcelona 😉

And of course some selfies (Taken at work 😛 )

Summer, time to partayyy

Living alone is not that simple, Especially if you’re the type that loves to be surrounded by many and don’t like to be alone. Even though I’m an introvert, I’ve been living alone the past 7 years (OMG!), and I still remember how difficult it was in the beginning. Moving to a new place, where you don’t have any friends, and start to create a new network of friends was not that easy. I actually had difficulties in making friends, and I still have. However, by time I learned to make it, and now have friends in many places 😉

I really enjoy spending time with people and having fun. But I still love to spend time on my own too.

Okay – yesterday we had the “summer party” at my work, and I was in this “party committee”/planning group. Unfortunately, I couldn’t be there to all the meetings, as I had patients, but I think I still did a very good job. I suggested kickball if the weather was good – and it did – and as we planned to play bingo, I bought the gifts for this game too, and helped as much as I could.

Here are some pictures from yesterday’s event. It was so much fun, and I guess everyone enjoyed the party. First we started eating cake (I didn’t, as it was Friday), and we then went to the University Park in Aarhus to play kickball. This was funny, and we enjoyed playing and watching each other running after the ball 😛 Look at my lovely “gold tattoo” btw!

It’s finally summer!! 😀

Later we got back “home” and had dinner. I was not that much surprised with the food, as I, being a veggie, could not eat anything but pasta. Hm.. Anyways, I still enjoyed the time with my colleagues 😉

I and 3 other girls later went to the town on another restaurant, and I was back home very late. Was so tired that I immediately fell asleep 😛

L and I had planned to catch up with 2 other former study mates today, but unfortunately, it didn’t happen, as one of the girls had to cancel it. So L and I decided to go for a walk, guess we walked about 5 km’s first, and then went to JNTJ to get some lunch and juice. This was so yummy 🙂 We hereafter went for shopping, and I bought some new shoes from TOMS. I like their concept of giving away a pair of shoes to a child in need for every pair purchased. Amazing, isn’t it?

After the shopping we went down the streets and watched people getting ready for the Aarhus Pride and many politicians using this opportunity to get votes 😛 We walked home, and relaxed for an hour, and then went out for dinner, and walked the way home. I guess we’ve walked about 10-11 km’s today 😉

Now relaxing with a bowl of berries. It’s summer and I’m healthy! 😀

Have a great evening! 🙂
