Accommodation in Paris: Sofitel La Défense

During our trip in Paris, we decided to stay at a 5-star hotel, as I found out through several researches that even 4-star hotels in Paris are mostly not that good and clean. We want cleanliness, and that’s very important to us! As we’ve stayed at some Novotel hotels on other trips (to other places) we therefore went for a 5 star hotel in the Accor branch – Sofitel, of course.

There are several Sofitel Hotels to be find in Paris, and most of them are fully booked most of the time. We booked a room at Sofitel La Défense, mainly because it is not a place with heavy traffic. We actually booked a Superior room, but as we arrived, the hotel manager offered us a Luxury Room- free of charge. I think that was a very kind gesture, and excellent service. Kudos! 😉

Mayfair Garden Indian Restaurant – Champs Elysées, Paris

For dinner, on the friday in Paris, I had booked a table for dinner at Mayfair Garden at Champs Elysées that is an indian restaurant. According to Tripadvisor Mayfair Garden is the 48^th best restaurant and the 2^nd best indian restaurant in Paris, so I thought we would have a nice time here. We went there after seeing Arc de Triomphe d’Étoile, as Mayfair Garden is to be found at 26 rue Lauriston in Champs Elysées.
