It has actually been a hectic day at work today. It started okay with a meeting with the Hearing Aid-team, but unfortunately it took a bit more time than expected, so all of us started our “real” work a bit too late. And yes, I am not that good in limiting myself when talking with the patients. I easily fall into convo with everyone, and I start talking about almost everything, because I find it cozy.
So.. I was running a little late, but fortunately I caught the time, and everything went okay thereafter. But still, I felt tired and hoped to come home and relax a little bit, before I had to go to the blood bank in Skejby. But I got some issues with a treatment, so I had to take a convo with a colleague, and then I got home late. I just had to eat very quickly and take the bus..
I love to do good stuff, and I always appreciate helping others, and I do as much as I can. I feel so god when doing it. So today’s good deed was to donate blood, I was actually looking forward to this, because my last donation was a year ago O_O
Yes – I don’t know what happened, but when I moved from Odense, I asked the blood bank over there to send all my details to the one in Skejby. But by a strange reason this never happened, and the one in Skejby never contacted me. So I called them one day and asked if anything was gone wrong – and yes, there was! They immediately got my details, and I got an appointment to donation in the beginning of September. But then I got sick with an virus infection, and the rule is that has to go at least a month before you can donate blood, so I had to wait for today.
Finally I got donated some blood, and I also got registered as a stem cell donor and an apheresis donor – I hope to get contacted by someone one day. Let’s see if that’s gonna happen 🙂 I just think we have to help each others, as long as we can do, and save people’s life 🙂 I didn’t have the courage to become a doctor, because I’m sooo much scared of blood, cutting people etc., so I became an audiologist instead. But my ability to help others doesn’t stop here – I want to do more, so I decided to donate blood, and I also registered myself as an organ donor; and I also recommend others to do the same, if they can! 😉
The blood donation went very well, and everything was okay, including my hb percentage. So I don’t need to take iron supplements, which I’m happy about, because I hate tablets 😛
