Sometyhing I should’ve posted loooong time ago, and I agree – too bad of me 😉😌
People who know me, also know that I am a die-hard fan of the Tamil/Indian artist Yuvan Shankar Raja. Ever since his first concert in 2011, I hoped for a European Tour, and I’ve kept asking Yuvan through Insta several times whether he had such an idea. Lately, in 2022 I wrote that I really hope he’ll come to Europe in this year, for which he simplye replied “yes, I will”. So I was pretty much sure that was going to happen, and finally Nimas announced this, and I was among the first ones to grab the tickets for both Yuvan’s concert in Oberhausen and for a Meet&Greet event. And I was SO excited. This was a dream coming true moment for me, and I was on cloud nine. My brother decided to join me, and this could only be much better, as we both are fans of Yuvan 😍🥰
Eventually, in february I created a 30-days Yuvan challenge in Insta, that went viral. Yuvan congratulated me and appreciated my work. That was huge! 🥰
I also made a Yuvan – STR challenge, that too was appreciated by Yuvan himself 🙂 Later on, I decided to make a “guess the song” game previously the concert, which Yuvan again appreciated 😃😇 🥹
Later, one of our friends’ wife also asked if her husband could join us, as a surprise, she wanted to gift him. Of course he was more than welcome to join us, and this could only make the whole trip funnier 🥳
It was the 30th of March. My brother picked us up in Randers, and then we went for a 9-hours drive to Oberhausen in Germany. I had booked rooms for us in Hotel Oberhausen Neue Mitte Affiliated by Melia, a 4-star hotel in the opposite of the Rudolf-Weber Arena, where the concert was going to be held. We were so thrilled.
The following day, on the 31th of March, we went for some shopping in Westfield Oberhausen, a pretty much huge shopping centre. Hereafter we got some time for relaxation before the Meet&Greet event.
It was such an amazing night, as we got to see Yuvan and other artists, and to greet them perfonally. We even had the chance to see Yuvan practising/playing on the piano live, which was simply magical. And what an authentic person he is! Yuvan event recognized me from our convos in Insta and from my violin covers, and wished me in person, and later wrote a personal message to my in Insta. What else do I need as a fan of him? I was truly amazed by his down-to-earth nature and kindness 🥹♥️🙏🏽

Sadly the event was rescheduled to 3 hours later than previously announced, and Nima too told us that there still would be served food for us (as it was included in the price), so we didn’t have dinner before there event. However, Nima literally gave us nothing to eat – and we never got our pictures taken by the crew, which is totally unacceptable, as we were promised that all these were included. Many of us later tried to contact Nima, but to no avail! 🙄😑
I wish, Nima is going to apologize, but I don’t think that’s going to happen. However, they at least let us take selfies…. 😁😅
