Today was a huge day for Denmark as Queen Margrethe abdicated and handed over the throne to her son, King Frederik X, and his wife, Queen Mary.
I’m not a die-hard royalist, but I’m genuinely impressed by the Danish Queen and the new King and Queen. Their down-to-earth nature is simply amazing, like when they participate in the Royal Run alongside regular folks. It’s lovely to see them being so relatable. I find them truly inspiring and think they make a wonderful pair!
Had an absolute blast today, reuniting with one of my closest uni-mates, G! The brunch she and her other half whipped up was a culinary masterpiece. I’m talking about taste explosions and belly laughs, all while hanging out with their pint-sized commander-in-chief, A – cuteness levels off the charts! 😍♥️
Then, the day took a turn for the awesome as I caught up with N, that I actually got to know through my brother. Café Spiret in Aalborg became our spot, as they currenlty offer a cake-tapas! And those cake-tapas? Pure poetry for the taste buds 🤩
This was also the first time I tried the legendary banoffee pie. My God, that’s heaven on a plate 😍😋
The connection with N, totally unexpected but cool from day one, adds this extra spice to our friendship. Unexpected and hilarious, yet profound from the very beginning, adds a unique and fulfilling dimension to our friendship 🥰🥹
As I sit here reflecting, I can’t help but feel like the luckiest human on the planet. These friends of mine are the real MVPs, adding flavor and fun to my life. Gratitude levels through the roof! Here’s to more belly laughs, culinary adventures, and unexpected connections. Cheers to the good life!

As the impending transition of the Danish throne approaches, my mind weaves through memories tied to Queen Margrethe II. Her artistic flair, evident in both painting and design, left an indelible mark on my imagination. I recall my mother’s passion as she delved into a Danish project, narrating tales of Queen Margrethe with infectious enthusiasm. It was intriguing to delve into the details of Queen Margrethe’s diverse talents, where her artistic pursuits shine brightly. Not only is she an accomplished painter, but her illustrations grace the pages of several books, adding depth to her creative legacy. She has also emerged as an incredibly strong female figure in a male-dominated world.
Possibly both my mother and I could find similarities with the dear, inspiring queen because we both have a passion for creativity and history. And even though we looked nothing like the Danish queen (in terms of skin color), she became our queen too! ♥️
As we bid farewell to 2023, a year filled with a myriad of emotions and experiences, I eagerly await the arrival of 2024. A year that promises to be a canvas yet to be painted, brimming with hope, aspirations, and a thirst for new adventures.

This year has been an exhilarating rollercoaster ride filled with moments that have left an indelible mark on my heart. It all began with a bittersweet, yet beautiful return to the homeland, Eelam/Sri Lanka. Despite battling a bout of illness, the rush of emotions from this nostalgic trip was like rediscovering a treasure trove of forgotten memories.
This year, I dared to try something new and thrilling: coloring my hair. After months of contemplation, March saw me take the leap. The mix of nerves and excitement was real, but the outcome exceeded my expectations. Keeping my black hair with caramel highlights brought a fresh, vibrant look that garnered lots of compliments from friends and family, making it a standout moment of the year 😄
April was a turning point, a dream materialized in Oberhausen, Germany, at Yuvan’s concert. My heart danced to the melodies I’d cherished since 2002. Tears flowed freely, joy knew no bounds, and meeting Yuvan himself, receiving his appreciation for my violin covers – utterly surreal! 🥹🥰🤩🥳
The following month transported me to the vibrant streets of Madrid, a whirlwind adventure alongside a sister from another mother. Our laughter echoed through the alleys, each moment woven into an inseparable bond of shared experiences 🥰
June amplified the thrill at Anirudh’s concert in Oberhausen. The energy of 14 thousand tamils united, celebrating music and friendship. The camaraderie with friends who share the same passion made it an electric experience 🤩
The summer heat couldn’t match the sizzle of exploration in Rome and the breathtaking allure of Napoli in July. Every twist and turn unraveled stories, crafting postcard-worthy memories at every stop 💨💸😄
September struck a soulful chord at A R Rahman’s concert in Dortmund. With a dear sister and a friend by my side, the music resonated through every fiber of my being, imprinting an unforgettable rhythm on my soul 🥳
November commemorated a significant milestone – A proud moment arrived in November, marking a decade-long journey as an audiologist. A milestone that symbolized dedication, growth, and a profound contribution to the realm of audiology – a field that has been a rewarding part of life’s tapestry. Reflecting on this journey highlighted the impact made, stitching audiology into the fabric of my life 🦻🔊

Today marks exatly 10 years since I started working as an audiologist.
The journey into the world of audiology began as a dream fulfilled – an offer letter from AUH even before the graduation. For a passionate audiologist fresh from SDU, AUH represented the epitome of opportunity and experience. The excitement of stepping into the dream job marked the start of a remarkable decade-long adventure.
Joining AUH wasn’t just a career move; it was an immersion into a community of talented colleagues and mentors. The early days were a whirlwind of learning, soaking in experiences, and laying the groundwork for a fulfilling future.
Transitioning into teaching medical and audiology-assistant students became a pivotal phase. Teaching not only became a passion but also a profound way of giving back and enriching personal growth, adding layers to the professional journey.
However, the path wasn’t without its hurdles. A brief stint in Odense brought challenges, mismatched expectations, and a realization of what truly aligned with my aspirations. Returning to AUH as a clinical manager felt like coming home – a fusion of skills and passions that perfectly complemented each other.
Reflecting on a decade in audiology brings forth insights into the field’s evolution. Technological advancements have revolutionized patient care, offering exciting avenues for professionals. Yet, amidst these changes, the core remains unchanged – the ability to positively impact lives.
The journey wouldn’t have been possible without the unwavering support from family, friends, mentors, and colleagues. Gratitude fills the heart for their roles in shaping both the career and the person behind it.
