Today marks Aadi Pirappu, a significant festival in Tamil culture, and my mom and I decided to celebrate by making Aadi Koozh, a traditional dish cherished by Sri Lankan Tamils. It’s been a few years since we last prepared something special for Aadi Pirappu, even though we always go all out for Thai Pongal.
Farewell, Rome: Colosseum’s Early Morning Glimmer and a Melancholic Breakfast 🥹♥️
The day of departure dawned, signaling a bittersweet farewell to Rome’s embrace. En route to the airport, a glance out the window unveiled a breathtaking sight – the Colosseum adorned in the light. Its silhouette seemed to whisper, “Until we meet again, Abi!” 🥹

At Leonardo da Vinci-Fiumicino Airport, amidst the hum of travelers and luggage checks, a tinge of nostalgia lingered. But before boarding, a final Italian breakfast beckoned. The flavors of Italy! It was a symphony of tastes tinged with melancholy, a farewell feast to Rome’s delectable offerings.

As the plane prepared for takeoff, the heart felt a pang. Rome’s charm, the memories, the promise of a return lingered in the air. The hope to revisit, to relive the city’s enchantment, whispered in my heart.
Amidst the Colosseum’s morning glow and a parting breakfast, the farewell to Rome wasn’t just a goodbye; it was a heartfelt promise to return, to reunite with the eternal city’s beauty once more ♥️
Shopping Extravaganza & Dosa Delights: Rome’s Retail Rollercoaster 💸🛍️
As the curtain drew to a close on Roman adventures, I dedicated my final day in Italy (as for now) to retail therapy. The chosen battleground? Rinascente – a retail wonderland promising everything the heart desires.

Bye to abbytalks.net
Some of you might have seen this, but yes. I’ve changed my blog’s name to abbynsta.com. The reason behind is very simple. I wanted to use the same names for my Instagram account and my blog. My Instagram account/profile has been “abbynsta” for more than a year now, even though I’d prefer abbytalks for that too – but it was already taken. Other names as “abitalks” were taken too, so next option was abinsta – but that too was taken!
Oh god, it can be difficult. Haha. But it’s just a profile name, I know. So I chose abbynsta, for several reasons; AB, that are my (professional) initials, Y for gen-Y, and nsta (as in insta) for Instagram, instant etc. So it was obvious for me to change my blog name for the same. Because it shows some of my moments – Abby’s instants! 😃
Back then it was mostly my Instagram profile’s name I wanted to change, to finally show myself (and my friends and followers) that this was a “new me”. But I was not fully sure about that name. Now it finally seems right to me.
So here it goes, welcome to the new…

Al Meza – Mediterranean Brunch in Aarhus!
Guys!!
Few weeks ago I and some of my friends went for brunch in Aarhus; we chose Al Meza at Frederiks Allé, because my friend really recommended us to try their food.
Al Meza offers a varieties of dishes from the Mediterranean kitchen and few danish food items too, where you can choose 3, 5 or 7 dishes of own choice from their set of menu. It’s INexpensive, and so tasty! Moreover they offer a nice variety of both cold and hot beverages 🧉😋

I went for 7 dishes and their lemonade with mint. My God, so far the best brunch I’ve ever had in my life! I’m definitely going for another brunch or 2, or 10 here 😄
Have a closer look at some of them! 😋😍
