As the curtain drew to a close on Roman adventures, I dedicated my final day in Italy (as for now) to retail therapy. The chosen battleground? Rinascente – a retail wonderland promising everything the heart desires.
Wedding Vibes and Amma’s Hometown 🥰
The much-anticipated wedding day of our dear friend finally arrived! It was an absolute delight to witness their union and share in the joy of their special day. The event was graced by renowned personalities and many familiar faces from my dad’s circle of friends. The gathering was nothing short of grand – a celebration filled with happiness that left quite an impression!
Back to paradise
Ah, Sri Lanka! Pleasure seeing you again after 20 years, hehe 😉
My brother and I jetted off to Sri Lanka last month, primarily to attend a friend’s wedding, but we also aimed to relish the sights and sounds of the country, particularly Yarl (Jaffna), on our own terms. Right from the get-go, our excitement knew no bounds—it was an adventure we eagerly anticipated from day one! 😁
First time trying paella ;)
After a too quick visit to the Botanical Garden in Málaga, I finally managed to get an Uber in a rush, and arrived to Centro Historico, where I found a restaurant to get some lunch. I just felt I had to eat something before going for the Hammam, so I found Tapa Boca, that is located close to where the Uber driver could drop me off. It is a spanish restaurant, and they offered veg paella, so I gave it a try as I haven’t tried a paella before – and when in Spain you should of course try a paella 😉
The paella was pretty good.

Dream coming true – Granada, here I come! ;)
Yep, you got that right!
Visiting Granada has been a dream for me since I was 10 years old, actually. In a maths lesson while in grade 4, my then maths teacher – Bent Nørgaard – was teaching algebra and geometry, he showed us a picture of some geomtric design, that were mathematically created. These designs were not just some random designs; NO, they were from a historical site, and Bent told us about how the muslims/Arabs created these patterns using maths. The patterns and designs he showed us from a particular place he had travelled to – Alhambra in Spain.
Ny Carlsberg Glyptotek
The Glyptotek – or the Ny Carlsberg Glyptotek, as it’s originally named – is a museum, founded by Carl Jacobsen, who was the founder of the famous Carlsberg brewery as well. Carl was very fond of art and a very passionate collector of art. At first, his collections were meant to be at his home, but it was very soon clear, that there weren’t enough room for his collections, that he therefore founded the Ny Calrsberg Glyptotek and dedicated all his art collections to the danish people.
The Glyptotek itself is a very interesting piece of architecture. As of Carl’s wishes, the building itself should be breathtaking, and esthetic. Beautiful, and with harmony. Satisfactioning.
