So, we ended up on this totally spontaneous trip to Greece after I flirted with the idea of a solo adventure to Portugal for my summer holidays. The Danish summer was getting to me – rain, rain, and more rain 😅😂 I mean, who wouldn’t want to escape that? I mentioned my escape plans to my friend A, and she did a quick 180 on her own plans and suggested a getaway to Athens. I thought, “Why not?” It’s Athens! A place dripping with history, which, thanks to high school, I find endlessly fascinating.
12 Days in Andalusia: A Culinary and Coastal Love Affair 🤣🇪🇸🌊
Good evening, folks, from the sunny shores of Fuengirola! 🙋🏻♀️
Yesterday, I made the executive decision to spend the night in Copenhagen, thanks to my early flight this morning. Unless I suddenly discovered teleportation, there was no way I could catch a train from Herning on the same day. So, I headed to KBH yesterday afternoon, where I treated myself to some delightful solo time and, of course, another fantastic dinner at Sticks’N’Sushi.

After last week’s great first impression, a sequel was inevitable. This time, I opted for their branch near Tivoli, purely for logistical reasons – because why drag my suitcase all over the city when the metro could effortlessly whisk me away to my hotel near Kastrup? Efficiency, people! 🤣
Summer ‘22, baby! 😎
4.5 weeks of summer vacation have now been forced upon me. How tragic – whatever shall I do with all that free time? 😂
Jokes aside, with the current chaos at work, stress levels through the roof, and life in general being a delightful rollercoaster, a long vacation was clearly the responsible choice. Originally, I planned just two weeks in weeks 29 and 30, with a few extra days in week 33. But then, certain circumstances (read: sanity preservation) led me to take a solid 4.5 weeks instead. Self-care, people! 😌
