Namaste Fusion – another Indian lunch in Fuengirola 🍛

The last day, before returning to Denmark, was mostly spent on shopping. I got some breakfast at the Granier nearby, before taking the train to Plaza Mayor, where I spent some hours on shopping. Got a new bag and some clothes 😁👜💸

Shooting for some movie, I guess – at Plaza Mayor

Hereafter I returned to Fuengirola, where I decided to go for some Indian lunch at Namaste Fusion, as my brother had recommended. He said the food is really good here. You find Namaste Fusion at C. General Rodrigo 4, close to Playa de los Boliches.

I got some pulao rice and a veg karahi. I tried a spicy version of it, and trust me, it was VERY spicy, actually too spicy for me, but it still tasted good. The mango lassi was a great companion here 🔥😅

After that lunch I wanted to go for some more shopping in Fuengirola, but as it was quite windy, I just returned home and relaxed a bit.

When my brother returned from work, we went for some churros at Costa Del Sol, a café at C. Marbella 3, near Plaza de la Constitución. The original spanich churros are something else than what you get in other places. I guess the churros you get in England, Denmark etc. are americanised versions. Sadly. Because I am not a fan of the real spanish churros… Sorry to say 🥲

But the spicy indian lunch was quite good 😉

Andalucía, you beauty! ;)

I just returned from a much-needed holiday in Andalucia. I recently went to Fuengirola (Málaga), as my brother lived there at that moment. I hadn’t seen him since august 2021, so I was pretty much excited to see him again – and of course travel and get away from a litterally depressing period in mu life! Andalucía was what I really needed, and I don’t regret it at all.

Travelling alone is always fun to me, because I’m an introvert, and I actually love my own company 😉 Of course, I was visiting my brother and I was going to stay with him, but I was travelling alone, as he was working at that time. I was totally okay with that. Had it been 10 years back I wouldn’t have done this, but now I feel so comfortable going alone in unknown places, and I’m actually not scared.

My first Pani Puri ;)

As mentioned before, our dinner at the great michelin-restaurant Kokkeriet was a disaster at another level, that we had to leave as we fell pretty much cheated and unwell. I still had to pay about 2.000 kr., even though we didn’t complete the whole menu – what a disappointment! I actually don’t understand how this awful place is rated a Michelin star. Whaaaaat the actual….

We then walked down the streets back to the hotel, totally uneasy and hungry as well, but luckily Rangoli was there to welcome us with GREAT food and service. Thanks for that!

Veggie Bhajjies

Bhajji is a very popular type of fritter in many states in India, especially Tamil Nadu, Kerala, Andhra Pradesh, Karnataka, Maharashtra, Gujarat, Odisha, Assam and West Bengal. In south it’s commonly known as “bhajji”, whereas it is known as “bhajiya” in the other states.

Nowadays you can eat bhajjies all over the country, and also in other places like Sri Lanka and Malaysia.

Bhajji is a snack food where various vegetables are dipped in a mixture of gram flour batter and deep fried. Though my family is from Sri Lanka, we love bhajjies very much 😉

Mayfair Garden Indian Restaurant – Champs Elysées, Paris

For dinner, on the friday in Paris, I had booked a table for dinner at Mayfair Garden at Champs Elysées that is an indian restaurant. According to Tripadvisor Mayfair Garden is the 48th best restaurant and the 2nd best indian restaurant in Paris, so I thought we would have a nice time here. We went there after seeing Arc de Triomphe d’Étoile, as Mayfair Garden is to be found at 26 rue Lauriston in Champs Elysées.
