I’m a knowledge junkie, searching my fix

Past 2 days at work have been very relaxing. I had so much time to complete some papers for the audiology assistant-students and the coming students from the Uni. of Southern DK. In addition, I could make some other stuff ready for those starting tomorrow, and got clarified some doubts by my boss.

It’s been raining almost every day since May, and everyone’s waiting for the summer to come. I hope the weather will be appropriate coming Friday, as we have planned a summer party that day. I’m also a part of this planning team, and yesterday I went to Storcenter Nord for buying some gifts for the games, we’ll be playing at the party. This will actually be the first time I’m participating in a party with colleagues, and I’m looking forward to this one 🙂

I’ve been way too excited about being this kind of “lecturer”/teacher/whatever. I’ve always loved teaching, my life as a teacher actually started many years back – in 2008. Starting at one point as a music teacher in Carnatic music, I’m now here; a special educational lecturer in Audiology. My dream came true, I’m where I thought I would be in 3-4 years. Yes, life is a miracle, and how you use your knowledge, and how you combine it with your talent is an art for itself. Knowing your strength and weakness makes you strong, and changing your weakness into strength is what it’s all about. Now I’m here, I’m exactly where I wanted to be. But as we reach our goals, new aims will be emerging. Creating the path to success is all in your hand 😉

June, here I come 😀

May month has been full of unhealthy food (unfortunately 😛 ), so I’ve put of following aims to be achieved:

  • Training 3 times a week. I didn’t go that much to fitness last month, as I tried some other ways instead. But that was not enough, and I have to lose some weight 😛
  • Walking at least 3 or 4 times a week.
  • Eat more of healthy food, and avoid eating out.
  • Spending more time on myself. I know I’ve been so much busy with spending time with others, and work. June and July are definitely going to be some tough months, as I’ll be working long shifts. Nevertheless, this should not prevent me from spending more time on myself 😉
  • Studying Hinduism. I love studying about my religion, and I’ve been posting several articles and smaller posts about Hinduism, that’ll be useful for many. However, I feel like getting away from this, so I have to be back on track, and study something I don’t know, and I have to share whatever I know and learn about Hinduism. Being the daughter of those, who started these “religious activities” in Herning, I feel privileged and happy, that both my parents know so much on religion, language and culture, which I have to share 😉 Moreover, my mum teaches Hinduism and Tamil, and I’m happy that both my brother and I learn from her, and of course my dad too.
  • Finally yet importantly, I should avoid spending too much money on diverse stuff.

Let’s see, if all these are going to happen or not 😛

Good night lovelies 😉

High-5 Fitness! :)

Is there any of you out there who feel like it’s much easier to workout in summer? 😛 Of course many of us feel much happier when it’s summer, and the winter make us feel kinda “euwww” – BUT that’s not a good thing, if you really want to workout without losing the motivation!

Are you struggling with this? Not only in winter, but just in general? Then look here for some tips 😉

Finding the happiness

Finding the happiness in training is really what makes sense to the whole thing – if you ask me. So find out what makes you happy about your workout; is it the thought of losing weight? Is it the feel of being healthy and fit? Is it the fun? Or something else? Find out, and keep thinking about this!

No bad excuses

It’s so easy to quit the workut with bad excuses. Most of us keep telling that “I never have time for it” or something like that. Or worse, the “I’ll do it tomorrow”-thing. NO WAY! Do it today, and you will never regret it 😉

Motivate yourself

Manye of us are good at being self-critical, and it’s only because we have too high expectations to ourself. Drop this kind of attitude – because what you do, and what you get out of it is really an achievement! Keep giving yourself compliments on your workout – because you’re doing really good!

Music music music

If you’re losing the motivation while working out, then try doing workout with some music. Music with a nice drop. Science has proven that music with about 125 BPM is best for workout. If you don’t know what to look for, try Avicii’s remixes – he is one of the most popular DJs in this kind of music. Not really surprised, then look for some good tracks on Spotify, or find some on YouTube 😉

The fitness buddy

Finding it boring to workout all alone? Then ask one or 2 of your good friends, and make a good workout buddy. Training with another makes it much funnier, and you’ll keep motivating and challenging each other. And this is a great way to spend time with your friend too! 😉

Well, these are my 5 best tips for getting some motivation for your workout. Finally, it’ll be helpful if you set an aim into it – losing some weight, strengthen your body etc. Now get started! 😉

Here’s my result of today’s workout 😉

Tamil new year [2015] OOTD

I last wrote about the New Year preps, and I was busy with some temple stuff. As it was my birthday too, I already bought a beautiful salwar from SS Ornaments. I don’t have anything I beige, so I decided to buy a salwar in beige, with pink lining and borders. It looked so lovely in the picture, but it was even prettier in real 😉

As the time for the New Year’s beginning was at 8.54 am, I got up early that day, so I could get ready and go to the temple abishekam and pooja at time. I’ve actually never been there for the new year’s beginning, so I was happy to be able to do so this time. It was a blessed moment to be there and watch the New Year’s pooja, and celebrate my birthday over there. I also went to the temple for the evening pooja, so it was indeed a day filled with “bhakthi” 😀 You know, there’s something in start a new beginning at the temple 😉

Here, Mr. Ganesh wearing the garland, I made for the day 😉

Since I’ve moved to Aarhus, I don’t have that much time to go to the temple – I used to go there almost every week, but now it’s turned out to a visit every 2nd or 3rdmonth 🙁 I really miss the divine atmosphere, and that feeling of “getting blessed”. However, I’m very religious, and pray every morning and evening at my home alter.

So what did I get for my birthday? Well, hindus calculate “nalla neram” (auspicious time) for kaivishesham, visiting each other etc. when it’s New Year, and the New Year’s day was not on a “good day”. Therefore, my parents gave me the gift (which was money) already few days before my birthday, otherwise they’d have to wait to the 15th of April, as the auspicious kaivishesha time took place on this day. Anyhow, I got kaivishesham too 😉

OKAY! That was my family’s birthday gift for me – Kaasu, panam, dhuddu, money money! 😛 Later, I spent some days with my very close friends and colleagues, and they too gave me some very lovely gifts. I feel so blessed to know such great people, that wish, bless and caring for me. Thank you everyone! 🙂

Here’re some pictures of what I got. Yes – someone bought Ray Ban sunglasses too! OMG! <3 Moreover I got a necklace, a gold chain, a hulahoop ring, a decorative stool with storage/tray (I love this one sooooo much!), and some pants for fitness (not on the pictures), and some chocolate too – of course 😉

Hey, uh.. I forgot to show you the salwar! Here’s a “selfie”

Tamil new year [2015]

Hi lovelies!

Last week was sooo amazing- had one week of holiday, and of course, this has to be celebrated with some fun with my lovely friend L, as she is in Aarhus too! Yes, so the days before my holidays, we decided to go visiting some cafés and enjoy our spare time with yummy food and lovely drinks (don’t worry, we’re both non-alcoholics 😛 )

We went to Bruun’s Galleri, enjoying some fresh drinks. First at Joe & the Juice the Thursday before, where L gotta try the “Power Shake” for the first time, and I gotta try their Joe’s AMG with apple, ginger and mint. OMG, I love this one, as I love minty drinks very much 😉

Next day, when we’re heading to our hometowns (she – Odense, me – Herning), we decided to try Haaber’s Café, and L got an ice cream smoothie and I got an elderflower drink, that was perfect for the very hot weather 😉

I was very excited to celebrate my birthday with my parents, as it was the Tamil new year too. My family usually helps the temple for the new year preps, and so did we this time. I enjoy stitching, so I got the opportunity to stitch the sarees for all the goddesses in the temple. My mum picked up a pink saree (what a coincidence, my dress had pink too!), so I started stitching 5 small pleeted sarees.

Then, the day before new year, my parents and I went to the temple, as we wanted to clean up the temple and to make some garlands. As some others were coming with 4-5 garlands too, I decided to make only one for the Panchamuga Vinayagar, and my mum made an aaram for the God too.

I was quite proud of the result – after ages making a full garland.

I feel so blessed to both have stitched sarees and making the garland 😀

This always makes me feel, that God’s very close to me, and I’ve got everyone’s blessings. Truly blessed <3

Quick trip to Aalborg, Azzurra: Restaurant Review

Hey guys, long time no see! 🙂

Well, I felt like spring was coming, but then the weather turned autumn, and it’s raining almost every day. OMG! Still waiting for summer to come 😉

I decided to go to Aalborg last Monday, as my brother lives there, and I had to buy him a new chaise lounge. So I took the train immediately after work, and was in Aalborg at 4pm.
